In the 16:8 design, you raise the 50% tension on the left side to 100% by cutting the number of spokes in half. Since you have half as many, each one has to do the work of two and you have 8 spokes on the left that each have the same tension as 16 spokes on the right. So you can tighten both sides to 120-130 kgf and have a wheel that will stay tight and true without any attention.

Value can't be beat February 8, 2016

Laced this and a superlight front to Pacenti SL23's for a tubeless cx race wheelset. After 3 months of getting trashed with mud and pressure washed 2-3 times a week, I can say that these hubs met and exceeded all expectations by not requiring any attention what so ever. Not sure why I would ever spend more money on different hubs. These could crack in half tomorrow and I'd feel like I got my moneys worth. Only negative would be the all aluminum freehub body, which did develop cassette bite, but I totally expected that to happen anyways.

SL210 hub review November 28, 2014
Reviewer: Jeff from Minneapolis, MN United States
I recently purchased SL210 and SL79 hubs and very impressed with the quality of BHS hubs.  See my review for my build BHS C472w Clincher Rim - 23mm wide - 28mm deep  -  (title)  High Quality Rim.
Note: I was so pleased with my 1st build that I purchased from BHS, I purchased BHS mountain hubs, rims and spokes for another wheel build.
****Great product and excellent service****

SL210 hub December 30, 2013
Reviewer: Jacob from Taipei City, Taiwan
I think this is one of the best rear hub under 100$ on the market. the wight is reasonable light but doesn't sacrifice durability, 6902 X2 (1 near the ds flange, 1 inside the freehub body) + 6802 X2 is way more stronger than 6802 X4, and 17.1mm DS Flange-to-Center distance is better than most competitors in this range.  6 pawls (actually 12 pawls in 6 pair, oh my~) give it a swift and directly power transition.

Superb, just superb.

Build these hubs with dt swiss with aerolite spokes and was very impressed.  Very smooth and love the 6 paw sound. Highly recommend.

Smooth, beautiful August 18, 2013
Reviewer: evan freeeman from gardnerville, NV United States
Recently built this one with the 79 front & BHS 23mm clincher rims. It's a great wheelset. The rear hub is nice, and the bearings are smooth. It's really easy to service, and the 6 pawls are great. Overall I'm happy with it & will buy another when the time comes.
